Colleges

One campus at a time.
Is your college next?

KitabPadhoIndia is a marketplace for students of the same college. Seniors sell used books and instruments to juniors, and both meet at a pickup point on their own campus.

That only works when a campus is ready, so we launch campus by campus, starting in small Indian cities. See how it works.

What a campus needs to go live

  • Campus pickup points

A few busy, public spots on campus, like the library gate or the main canteen. Every meet-up happens at one of them, in daytime.

  • A campus ambassador

A student of the college who checks college IDs and helps juniors find their semester kit.

  • Students who want it

Seniors with books and kits to sell, and juniors who need them. Requests from your college show us there is interest.

Live campuses

Right now we are live at one pilot campus. Pilot means we start small, listen to students and improve the app before we open more colleges.

Your email app opens with the subject “College request: <college name, city>”. Just fill in your college's name and city.

Email app didn't open? Write to [email protected].

What to tell us

  • Your college's name and city
  • Busy, public spots on campus that could be pickup points
  • Roughly how many students would join
  • Whether you'd like to be the campus ambassador

Please don't send your college ID or other documents by email.

For students 18+

Become a campus ambassador

Ambassadors make KitabPadhoIndia work on their campus. If you know your college well and like helping juniors, we would love to hear from you.

Your college isn't live yet? You can still apply. An ambassador is one of the first things a new campus needs.

What you'll do

  • Check college ID photos from students of your college, usually within 24 hours. The photos stay private and are deleted right after review.
  • Run a help desk at semester end, where seniors get help listing their books and kits in the app. Items stay with their owners: we never collect or store them.
  • Run an orientation desk when freshers join, so they can find their semester kit.
  • Help choose safe pickup points and build Semester Kit checklists with seniors.

Who can apply

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You are a current student at the college you apply for.
  • You can give about 4–6 hours a week.

What you get

  • A stipend for your time
  • A certificate for your CV
