Delete your account

You can delete your KitabPadhoIndia account and personal data at any time.

Option 1: In the app (fastest)

1. Open the KitabPadhoIndia Android app or the web app, and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

For your security, the app may ask you to sign in again before it deletes your account. Sign in, then confirm again.

Option 2: By email

If you can't use the app, email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We confirm receipt within 24 hours and aim to complete the deletion within 15 days.

We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We will never ask for your password.

Your PatienceAI sign-in

You sign in to KitabPadhoIndia with a PatienceAI account, which can also be used for other PatienceAI apps. Deleting your KitabPadhoIndia account erases your KitabPadhoIndia data, but your PatienceAI sign-in stays, so other PatienceAI apps you use keep working.

To remove your PatienceAI sign-in too, email [email protected] from the same address with the subject “Delete my PatienceAI sign-in”. After that, you can no longer sign in to any PatienceAI app with it.

What is deleted

• Your profile (name, college, course, branch, year and rating)
• Your unsold listings and their photos (they are removed from the marketplace)
• Your Wanted requests
• Your in-app notifications
• Your college ID verification record (the ID photo itself is already deleted right after review)

What is kept for a limited time

Chat messages

Kept for up to 30 days after you delete your account, only so we can investigate safety reports. Then they are deleted automatically.

Items you already sold

Stay marked as sold, without your name, so the buyer's history makes sense.

Reports about safety or abuse

Kept only as long as needed for safety or legal reasons.
